Home decor and crafts I've made.
Tropical Paradise
This is a bedroom I painted for my friends' teenage daughter. She picked out the colors. I found a palm tree silhouette on the web and magnified it on the wall with a projector. Two walls were blue and two were green. Both blue walls had a palm tree like this.
I found a hibiscus picture on the net and got a piece of stencil plastic at the craft store that I traced the flowers onto and then cut out to create the template.

Both green walls had the hibiscus border. Love the way it all turned out!!! |
Lampshade for a Dolphin Room
This is a lampshade I made for my daughter's dolphin-themed room. I took a basic lamp shade, stripped the fabric off, then wrapped strips of tulle from top to bottom. I then tied small pieces of tulle down the vertical rods of the wire frame to made the pretty ruffle edges. The seashell pieces are glittery buttons I found in the scrapbook section at Hobby Lobby.
I can't wait to get it home and put it on the lampstand in my daughter's room. She'll LOVE it!!
