Halloween Trunk or Treat 2009
Scooby Doo Haunted House

I made a haunted house out of cardboard and acrylic paint with Scooby Doo and Shaggy running from it. I made a shelf in the window so I could put a light-up jack-o-lantern. I drew Shaggy and Scooby onto foamboard and cut them out with a box cutter. Add some spiderweb and there you go! The umbrella's are sitting on top because it rained taht year. It was still fun!

Spongebob Trunk
My friend didn't have time to work on decorations for her trunk, so I pitched in and made a Spongebob theme for her. I drew the characters on foam board and cut out with a box cutter. Just colored them with markers. The Jellyfish were made out of foam bowls and curling ribbon. It turned out cute!

Baby Shower Diaper Cake
Here's a diaper cake I made in May 2010 for a Baby Shower at church.
So easy with rolled up diapers, clear hair bands, round cake pans of different shapes to form the layers, and then just decorate with fabric, flowers, ribbon and cute little baby embellishments!

The Mad Hatter-Halloween 2010
Tim Burton's Mad Hatter
My husband's work was had a Halloween party. Their theme was "Alice In Wonderland". I quickly got to work on making the Tim Burton Mad Hatter costume for his party. A sport coat and pants and a belt from Goodwill was cheap and perfect for the suit. I spray painted stripes on the pants.

Below is the link for the Mad Hatter costume tutorial I used.

I found a tutorial online on how to make the scarf, hat, and spool artillery belt. Accented the sport coat with lace and velvet trim. My husband found a Lady Gaga wig and sprayed it bright orange. I printed off a picture of Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter face onto cardstock and cut out the eyes. Add an elastic string...and you've got an instant mask.

Finding Nemo Baby Shower Sign Decoration
Welcome Baby!
Some friends and I threw a Finding Nemo themed baby shower at church for another dear friend. I painted this sign on foam board. I found the separate images on the internet and created a collage of them on the board using my projector. I then painted in a background that brought it all together. So fun!
